Tourist helicopter sightseeing flights start over London
Regular sightseeing flights around London have started for the first time from Battersea Heliport.
The flights last 20 minutes and cost £200. Up to 15 flights could be operated a day.
Since two people died when a helicopter hit a tower in January, choppers over London’s skies have come under intense scrutiny.
Neil Constable, from The Globe Theatre, said the sightseeing helicopters can disrupt performances and added that he would like a limit put on the number of helicopters which operate over the Southbank.
Chris Mann, from The London Helicopter, says it will try and avoid performances at the Globe and that it will operate responsibly.
